Learning Is
Better in The Pack
We build essential literacy and math skills through structured, diagnostic, multisensory support–nurturing confidence, curiosity, and academic success.
We're Here To Help
Do you have a struggling reader? A student who has no confidence in math or who avoids math reading or writing tasks? Has your child been diagnosed with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia or another learning difference?
Wolf Pack Learning is here to provide and help your student build the tools they need to find confidence, growth, and success. Not only do our tools and strategies allow students to catch up, but they also help your child fill their own toolbox and rediscover academic independance.
Math Learning & Intervention
Wolf Pack Learning math support is hands-on, individualized, and designed for students with dyscalculia or those needing extra reinforcement in any facet of elementary school math.
During our math sessions, we use a variety of tactile tools and gamification to make abstract concepts concrete and relatable. Students benefit from real-time feedback, repeated exposure, and the opportunity to build strong conceptual foundations before moving on to more complex topics.
Our personalized support helps students feel seen, supported, and capable of success in math.
Literacy Learning
& Intervention
At Wolf Pack Learning, our one-on-one literacy intervention is grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach. This multisensory, structured method is especially effective for students with dyslexia or those struggling with foundational reading and spelling skills.
Our approach allows us to build a relationship with each student, opening the door for the most possible growth. Each session is rooted in responsive instruction tailored to each student’s needs—we identify strengths and barriers, and build unique and engaging lessons. Fostered by trust and connection, we create a calm and focused space where students gain confidence and momentum.

How We Do It: The Orton
Gillingham Approach
The Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach is a proven, research-based method for teaching reading, spelling, and writing. While the OG approach is necessary for some and useful for all, it is especially effective for students with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences.
At its core, OG is structured, multisensory, and individualized. The OG curriculum follows a logical, step-by-step progression, beginning with the most basic skills (like matching letters to sounds) and gradually building toward more complex reading and spelling patterns. Each concept is taught explicitly and reviewed consistently, ensuring true mastery.
What makes OG unique is that it engages multiple senses at once. Students see, hear, say, and write each sound and word, helping them make stronger connections in the brain. This hands-on, personalized instruction supports not just skill-building, but also confidence and independence in reading and spelling.
How We Do It: The
Multisensory Math Approach
Multisensory Math is an approach that engages the whole learner. By combining visual input, spoken language, and physical interaction with materials, students build deep and lasting understanding. Instead of simply being shown how to solve a problem, students explore what mathematical concepts mean and how they connect to real ideas.
Concepts like numeracy, place value, operations, fractions, and decimals are introduced using concrete tools and gradually connected to visual representations and abstract symbols. This intentional sequence helps students construct meaning, rather than memorize steps. It also supports students in developing confidence, flexibility, and a strong foundation for future math success.
During instruction, students actively model what they are learning—moving objects, drawing visuals, and speaking about what they notice. This type of learning strengthens attention and memory by involving more than one sense at a time.
More Than Just Another Tutor
We like to think of education as a fast-moving train; it keeps going, whether your student is ready or not. When a student falls behind, the train doesn’t stop to wait. Our role is to help students catch up and stay connected to the learning that’s happening in their grade. While we fill in foundational gaps, we also make sure they continue moving forward with their current curriculum, so they’re not just catching up, they’re keeping up.

MEET THE LEADER OF THE PACK
Ben Wolf
Ben has been an educator his entire life. Starting with summer camps where he learned how to build relationships, Ben transferred that knowledge to outdoor education. He led international teen service trips, directed summer camp programs, and coached climbing. Ben settled back down in Colorado when he attained his Colorado teaching license in 2019. Early in his classroom career, Ben learned about dyslexia and other learning challenges in young students. The science and finding different ways for these students to be successful were what truly interested him.
As someone who struggled as a student and had been diagnosed with ADHD, he decided he ultimately wanted to work towards a career supporting students in these fields. After six years in the classroom having been an assistant teacher, lead teacher, and literacy specialist, Ben decided to start his educational intervention practice.
Ben and his wife, Claire, were both born and raised in Colorado. When not working with students, Ben can be found climbing, canyoneering, and seeking the perfect cup of espresso. Ben and Claire love spending time in Utah in their little pop-top camper and finding all sorts of different ways to get outside.

Early Signs Your Child May Need Reading Support
Our daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD in 2nd grade. She was reading well below grade level despite receiving tier 2 intervention in school. Within a year of working with Ben, she is now on grade level and is a confident reader and writer. Ben individualizes her lessons, makes them fun and engaging, and keeps us up-to-date on her progress and goals. Her success is a testament to Ben’s incredible knowledge and skills and we feel so fortunate that she has the privilege of working with him.
Brett and Courtney Merlin
Our daughter has made amazing progress thanks to Ben. His patience and clear teaching methods have been instrumental in helping her grasp difficult concepts in both literacy and math. Not only has she been able to catch up academically, gain confidence and improve her reading skills, she has also started to read for enjoyment! Ben has a unique way of connecting with his students, meeting them where they are and helping them reach their potential. We are so grateful for all of his help!
Rachel Lashen Johnson
We are incredibly grateful for the transformative impact Ben had on our child’s learning journey. From the very beginning, he demonstrated remarkable patience, taking the time to truly understand our child’s unique needs and learning style. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, Ben met our child exactly where he was, creating a safe and supportive environment that encouraged growth at a comfortable pace. What truly sets him apart is his ability to make learning fun and engaging. His guidance was essential to our child’s growth and confidence in reading.
